[ His hip pushing the door amuses her a little, like a mockery of chivalry, which -- she gets a feeling she's used to a more earnest version but this, from Lupine, given the context, she likes. ]

[ Since they're talking and all, and not every second needs to be about foreplay, ] Do you know if there's a place to see the ocean?

Alisaie? [ Her pronunciation has the flowing tune of a French native speaker. Yes, they've met, Alizarin was quite taken with her (anyone who suggests a fight before they get out a third sentence is a winner). ]

She asked for a fight, Caeli suggested a Live. [ Her tone shifts there, just a little. She was what might have been embarrassingly forward about saying yes, or would have been if she got embarrassed by that sort of thing. ] We had a mock fight on that trampoline; he's quite good. [ She doesn't really get the animal thing, but who cares? He's great with close quarter combat. ]

Yes, anywhere I can see water will work. It was the first thing I wanted when I woke up. [ Shifting into a playful tone, ] It can wait, of course.

Really. I haven't fought him yet. [ In the tone of someone who considers this an oversight in need of fixing. ] Nice to have a recommendation. [ Light, because he's confident it won't be an issue: ] I'll have to make sure I'm not a disappointment by comparison.

[ ...Pulling up a map of the city on his phone while they walk. ]

Yeah, you just... [ Zooming in on the map, he holds his phone up for her to see. ] Follow this path, pretty much straight down.

[ Nodding at the phone screen and directions, satisfied enough to drop the subject. The sea calms her down, and just now she doesn't especially want to be calm. ]

Highly recommended. For the fight and the show. [ Caeli being very easy on the eyes in his person form doesn't hurt at all. The glowing eyes were unnerving, but not for the reasons most would assume. It was the blue, not the glow. ]

[ As for Lupine not being a disappointment, well ] That would be a shame. There was still food left. [ She doesn't actually sound like she's considering the possibility, though, just being bratty. ] And, I went to all this trouble to find a corset that has enough give if I'm panting.

[ For many reasons, she wishes she knew where they were headed, but when he speeds up she adds another: her very competitive nature sort of wants to race him. Alas. ]

You sounds pretty sure that I won't be the disappointing one. [ Her tone doesn't suggest she thinks that will be the case, but the fact remains. ] Maybe I'm a virtuous maiden who would faint at the very sight of blood and has no idea of the quickest and most efficient way to cut someone out of their clothes.

Love to. [ Supreme confidence that at least sometimes she will catch him. If there's a maximum speed in their fair fake city, she's got it. ] If I thought this would be easy, what's the point?

[ Restless as usual, she's getting plain tired of walking. So, killing two birds with one stone, she does a quick aerial cartwheel into a piked backflip, testing her corset lacing since it tends to shift around as she moves. Hmm. ] Almost there?

I don't mind. [ She makes no promises about behaving, though. Especially since her current method of burning energy will be gone. ]

[ He just smiles at her — and around them, the wind picks up. With a nimble backwards hop, he lands easily on an unnaturally large leaf, which then hovers there, patient. Holds out a hand. ]

[ Nightingale can only get them there twice as fast as if they kept up a breakneck run the whole time, but you can't say it's not also stylish. ]

[ She's not surprised about the giant leaf, nor is it that she thinks anything unpleasant would happen with it, but somehow this is a level of trust that's harder to talk herself into than fighting or screwing. ]

[ But, it's only a passing thought, so she grins and grasps his hand and hoists herself up. ] Don't be too impressive or I'll get even more ideas.

[ Sorry no yanking, mainly because she'd be pissed if someone pulled on her hair without the correct mood. She does test her nails on his scalp, not particularly gentle but not aiming for pain, curious. ]

I have points for three, and I'll need them for my Live with Caeli, so I guess I'm doing that next. [ She was looking for a decent excuse not to buy memories, and that's a particularly nice one. ]

[ Waiting for the right mood is very legit. And he does like softer hair-playing, too. He makes a slightly distracted noise in response to the nails, though, and then deliberately focuses on where he's going so that he can get them down to the ground. ]

Yeah? Which powers are you most interested in? [ Pause. Adds, ] You don't have to tell me. I'm curious, but it's definitely a tactical-advantage thing, too.

[ It seems like everyone knows what the other units' powers are, eventually, so she sees no particular reason to hide it. He just showed off one of his, and all. ]

The levitation for sure, probably lightning, and the chains. [ The ones that cause utter devastation, in whatever sense, are a little less comfortable (not enough that she won't buy them when she can, just enough that it would feel somehow rude to admit to wanting them). ] I don't think I'm normally into the idea of powers, but if it helps my unit win, I guess I need them. [ Loyalty is kind of her thing even if it shows in fucking twisted ways. ]

[ Yeah, and the IC descriptions are available somewhere in the phone, but you can't tell which powers someone has unlocked. And also, FTR, since these pages are so glitchy and prone to timing out, a lot of people play like their characters don't have the ICly available info. Up to you! ]

Levitation, right. [ Grin. ] That could be really useful for some of the environmental stuff in certain games — plus, you know, just fun.

[ Considering that... ]

[ Down she goes, giving his hair a light, playful tug as she untwines her fingers. She likes long hair, just not on herself. ]

One quick thing. [ Turns her back toward him, pointing at her corset laces and pulling the tie undone. ] They get loose as I move around. One good yank oughta do it. [ Of course the point of this is to maybe get them undone later, but having it sliding around while she's trying to kick his ass would just be aggravating, and not in a fun way. ] [ Plus she has kind of a thing for people helping her dress okay, what of it? ]

[ ...His eyes lid a bit. Slides up behind her, gets a good grip on the cords; curling his fingers through them, eyeing the corset structure. He might like doing it more slowly sometime, but she said yank, so— ] [ Yank. He is definitely stronger than his usual layered outfits would let on. ]

[ Was well prepared for him to follow instructions to the letter, but she makes a little breathy sigh anyway and a playul glance over her shoulder as she reaches back to regain control of her lacings. ] Perfect, thank you. [ Tempting to let him tie them, but there's time for that later. If they go too far down that route they might skip the fight, and where's the fun in that? ]

[ Once she's tied back up (a quick process, she's very used to corsetry as standard dress), she unhooks her fur-lined shoulder shrug and slips it off while she takes a dozen purposeful steps away from him, giving the garment a good heave so it flutters down far enough away. Then she turns, unsheathing her sword without prelude and tossing the scabbard aside similarly. ]

[ She's not about to insult by asking if he's ready so she simply waits, her eyes going strangely brighter as her gaze hardens, sharp and stinging like the edge of the sword she flicks in a few blurred arcs. She's still smiling, but there's a distinct predacious edge. No holding back, that's the deal. ]
